Softly Spoken Shades: Mauve & Maroon Bloom

In 2025, brides everywhere fell under the spell of the season’s most intoxicating hue—deep, perfumed Bordeaux. With mauve and maroon as its loyal companions, framed by a backdrop of sage and olive, and touched with gray and ecru to weave an air of quiet sophistication—this was, without question, the “it” shade of the year. For Justine & Jim, the vision was one of depth and texture—a garden of layered greens where moss, green ball, papyrus, hydrangea, and anthurium intertwined in lush harmony. From this living tapestry bloomed mauve and blush Ecuadorian roses, aubergine and bordeaux anthuriums, cymbidiums, and chrysanthemums, rising together in a pair of sculptural towers that crowned their altar in breathtaking style. Justine, radiant and statuesque, wore a gown that whispered of modern romance—a bodice lavishly adorned with pearls and crystals, giving way to a voluminous satin skirt that flowed effortlessly, its daring high slit lending a touch of contemporary allure. Her jet-black, lustrous hair framed her face like midnight silk—strong, graceful, endlessly captivating. Beside her, Jim embodied timeless elegance in an ecru single-breasted suit and shawl-collared waistcoat, a perfect study in refined masculinity. His boutonnière, a blush orchid with a heart of Bordeaux, echoed the palette beautifully, while his olive-green tie and pocket square added the final stroke of distinction. Guests arrived in a painter’s harmony of maroon, olive, Bordeaux, blush, and ecru, completing the chromatic poetry of the day. The arrival space was draped in Bordeaux and olive fabrics, its atmosphere deepened by vintage mirrors, antique candelabra, and gilded accents that whispered nostalgia. And when night descended, it wasn’t fireworks, fairy lights, or candle flames that illuminated the celebration—it was the radiance of Justine & Jim themselves. Their smiles, their gaze, their laughter intertwined—the true brilliance that wrapped the evening in a glow of unforgettable love.
