Twilight Reverie: A Minimalist Island Soirée

Chrishellia, a popular lifestyle and food influencer with a strong following both in Indonesia and abroad, celebrated a dazzlingly glamorous wedding in her hometown of Surabaya. But what came next was something completely different—a super cool, minimalist, and stylish night inspired by Japanese aesthetics, shared intimately with close family and friends on an island setting. The concept was brought to life by the up-and-coming creative stylist collective SPINNER OF YARNS. The color palette featured off-white, ecru, olive green, and tan, accented with deep shades ranging from Bordeaux to eggplant purple. The decor included paper lanterns, origami-like lampshades, and scroll-style welcome signage. Minimalist yet architecturally structured floral arrangements elevated the atmosphere. The gate, dramatically stacked like a tower, was adorned with muscat-colored viburnum, carrot flowers, green balls, papyrus, and autumn-hued hydrangeas, creating a striking entrance to the sweetheart table set on a glass stage. The tables were elegantly dressed in white and tan taffeta, and the lush presence of Vienna Copper chrysanthemums in green-toned tan hues added an extra touch of glamour. As the sun set, sage green drapes swayed in the ocean breeze, blending the rosy twilight with the fading blue sky of the day. In that magical moment, time on the island flowed gently and richly.
