“We were together for two years before he decided to propose on my birthday,” the bride gushes. “He gathered all my friends to organize a treasure hunt of puzzles– one of my favorite things– visiting spots from our early days of dating.” The whole hunt led to their apartment, which one of the bridesmaids, Bruno, had decorated to resemble Monica and Chandler’s proposal– another of Diana’s favorite things. When finally looking into destination weddings, she found ‘exactly what she wanted with Tirtha: chic, detail-oriented, and edgy at the same time.’ “Being away from Ben the whole morning was very difficult because he is usually the only person who can calm me down, and I was so stressed. Then, I was standing in front of the chapel listening every time the gong hit; I closed my eyes and could feel these goosebumps drenching me from head to toe, like electricity. When I opened my eyes, I could see Ben’s face tearing up. We just stared at each other for what seemed forever as a moment suspended in time. They were the most magical and spiritual minutes of my life.” The decor for the dinner reception perfectly encapsulates the theme.
