Tropical Indian Wedding, Sangeet to Moonlight Soirée | Vibrant Rituals & Lush Drapery

Ishita’s vision was clear and concise. Within a glasshouse framed by blazing tropical greens, the Plumeria Room—usually defined by white drapery and chandelier-lit elegance—was reimagined for the Sangeet, the traditional Indian pre-wedding gathering of two families. Pompadour pink, guava orange, and saffron-toned velvet and satin drapes, oversized tassels, and cascading marigold garlands transformed the space into an immersive, exotic tableau. Poolside, a vividly draped canopy for the Mehendi ceremony stood in striking contrast against the lush greenery. Ishita wore a sequin- and embroidery-rich crop top and skirt, perfectly balanced by Ben’s ecru jacquard suit. Guests, dressed in vibrant saris and sherwanis, filled the day with movement, color, and joy. As dusk fell, the celebration transitioned to the Moonlight Garden, where the Mandap ceremony unfolded amid pastel florals and softly swaying pampas grass, the guests’ lustrous silks, fluid chiffons, and richly woven brocades adorning the space like scattered jewels, adding depth and quiet brilliance. In deep wine red, adorned with intricate embroidery and delicate sequins, Ishita was mesmerizing; Ben, sleek in navy, completed the picture. A day layered with ritual and rhythm, it unfolded like a finely woven tapestry—rich, deliberate, and unforgettable.
